Swedish housing cooperative, HSB, makes energy statistics automatic and digital with Metry

Three of HSB’s regional associations are now initiating collaboration with Metry for automated data storage of the energy consumption in their buildings. It is intended to lead to better decision-making and analysis for energy efficiency measures among tenant-owner associations.

Sweden’s HSB housing cooperative represents over 620,000 members and 340,000 flats across the country with the mission of creating ‘Good Living’, together. The IRIS Smart Cities member is a passionate advocate for a sustainable future and has made the step of contacting fellow consortium partner Metry to open up a new world of energy saving possibilities and empower residents to do the same.

“This is an exciting solution which means that we will be able to help housing associations in a whole new way. Overall, it is about reducing both energy consumption and costs, “says Jesper Hedefalk, Area Manager at HSB Stockholm.

The three regional parts of HSB: Stockholm, Gothenburg and Södertörn have signed an agreement with Metry. With the help of their robots, HSB will be able to automatically digitize gathering energy data and making sense of energy consumption.

“We guarantee the quality of the data, and at the same time free time for analysis and service development,” says Jesper Hedefalk. With a combined and easily accessible energy statistics, the three HSB regions can develop their management offer in an efficient and demand-driven manner.

This is the second successful collaboration between Metry and fellow IRIS partners, demonstrating the strength of the solution and ability to replicate, roll out and ramp up a smart energy data solution.
